Hi, I am Diane, or as my friends call me, Da Da or DD. I guess I am also the cunctor. *cunctor is latin for somebody that is slow to act; to dawdle; to delay, to impede, to hold up; to doubt; to hesitate, to tarry, to linger.
I am no one special but a rising senior at Duke University majoring in Neuroscience and Computer Science.
If I were an orphan, I would have been an artist. But fortunately or unfortunately (definitely fortunately), I am not an orphan, hence I am not an artist. I do dabble in oil paint and have even sold a few under a pseudonym. But I wouldn't say it is a hobby since it pains me too much. Art I think is an act of constantly breaking your establishment of the world, or at least my art feels like it. So how could I do that to myself for pleasure when all my other efforts in life yearn to be constructive?
That said, I have a hidden website for my artwork since I come from a loving conservative family where doing such art is worried upon. If you know me personally and would like to see, feel free to message me and ask for the link.
Currently I am working (remotely) as a Research Trainee in the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Lab, affiliated with Massachusetts General Brigham and Harvard Medical School, where I develop methods to look at brains. More specifically, I study and test neuroimage analysis methods for patients with schizophrenia and depression, all in a shared effort to reveal biomarkers for such psychiatric disorders. It's a lot of bash scripts and python.
This site is mainly to have my web projects in one place. These web projects include graphic and UI/UX which reflect my undying interest as well as the first two years of my life I allowed myself to indulge in them.
