The symmetry of body brings out the asymmetry of breasts, takes away the sexual qualities, transforms them into tumour-like lumps; for I believe they are not much different.

Although there are breasts, and breasts represent the female figure, there is no hair or genital. Zhe transcends it all and is finally at peace.

Warmth and energy is congealed within hands and feet: whilst hands and feet were busy working—in jobs and in houses—body was cold. Zhe was overworked.

Zhe sits with open-leg. Are you provoked or dominated? Openness leads to no genitals, no gender identity, zhe is at peace.

Throat that connects the mind and the body is violent, protruding for air. Air!
Give zhe some air!

How many women do you know continue investing after their investments fail? How many women rerun for politics over and over again?
A man does. Lots of men do. Because a man would be known as the man who didn’t give up, who couldn’t be stopped. Not somebody that needs to be stopped.
This could be a generalization but it is a statistically valid one. The fear of failure is known to be heightened in women. And I believe this stems from not knowing oneself, or rather, not thinking one knowns oneself, and therefore lacking the executive confidence and commitment to oneself.

Somebody said this: There are not that many women with too much confidence.

There are lots of outspoken women these days but you can only outspeak if you know what you want to speak out about.

Penis is revered. Phallic objects are hilarious. Vagina? Forever doubted. Does it smell? should I shave? does mine even look normal?

The recurring subject of female bodies in my paintings is for this reason. Knowing your physical self is the first and pivotal step to knowing yourself, and self-discovery is what life is, as Socrates said.

Women have beautiful genitals. Hopefully you appreciate too.

The first thing an art-collector in North Carolina asked me after seeing this painting was “so what’s with the eroticism?”

…

I’m sorry Sir, I think that’s you.
I didn’t paint eroticism.
I painted women’s body.
You’re associating  your eroticism to it.
This is a confrontation. Give it a stare back.
